Bakkie and taxi collide leaving nine injured in Prestburry

Nine people were left injured this morning following a collision between a bakkie and taxi on the Mayors Walk Road in Prestburry, KwaZulu Natal.
ER24 personnel, along with other services, arrived on the scene at 08h47 to find the bakkie on the side of the road against a tree while the taxi was found parked a short distance away. Several people were found walking around on the scene. 
Medics assessed the patients and found that eight adults and one child had sustained minor to moderate injuries. Fortunately, no serious injuries or fatalities were found.
The patients were treated and thereafter transported to nearby hospitals for further care.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
