Eighteen people were injured after a bakkie overturned along Vermikuliet Street in Ladanna on Wednesday (December 1).
The incident happened at around 17:20 alongside a local school.
Kgaugelo Mphago, the spokesperson for the Polokwane Municipality traffic department told Review that three people were seriously injured in the incident.
“A further 15 people sustained minor to moderate injuries,” he confirmed
According to reports provincial emergency medical services attended to the scene and all the injured occupants were assessed and treated. Those who had sustained serious injuries were transported to a nearby hospital for further medical treatment.
The exact cause of the incident will form part of a police investigation.
