Rear-end collision leaves nine injured near the Moss Kolnick turnoff in Amanzimtoti

Nine people were left injured this afternoon following a rear-end collision between a taxi and a bakkie on the N2 northbound highway near the Moss Kolnick turnoff in Amanzimtoti, KwaZulu Natal.
ER24 paramedics, along with other services, arrived on the scene to find that taxi and bakkie in the left-hand lane of the highway. Several people had already climbed out of the vehicle and were found walking around on the scene.
Paramedics assessed the patients and found that nine people had sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate. Fortunately, no serious injuries or fatalities were found on the scene.
The patients were treated for their injuries and were thereafter transported by various services to nearby hospitals for further treatment.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
