16 Injured in taxi crash at the corner of Sandile Thusi Road and the Ruth First Highway

Sixteen people have been injured after a taxi and a vehicle collided at the corner of Sandile Thusi Road and the Ruth First Highway on Monday evening just after 8pm.

Rescue Care Paramedics arrived on the scene to find the badly damaged vehicles in the junction. A taxi and a vehicle had collided and left multiple patients injured. Immediately more ambulances were dispatched to assist with the number of casualties on the scene. A total of fifteen people had sustained various injuries and were stabilised on the scene before being transported to various Durban Hospitals for the further care that they required.

At this stage the events leading up to the crash are unknown however SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further.
