In this video by Renaldo Gouws, he looks at the shocking incident that took place at the Joe Slovo informal settlement in PE. A father holds his one year old child ransom on a rooftop in defiance of authorities who were removing illegal land occupiers. He the throws the baby from the roof. The mindset and uncivilised nature of the man, and the community who were egging him on to do, is disgusting and portrays the sick environment we are living in. This is sick behaviour, not of one individual, but of a community.
The nature of the incident in itself is horrifying but in a broader sense it really exposes what we are dealing with in South Africa and its people.
