In this video from SABC, the court case around the corrupt former President Jacob Zuma will qualify for all his benefits, including a full salary of approximately R3 million per annum at the taxpayers’ expense. He will also receive medical and travel benefits as well as personal staff, even if he is convicted on all the charges he is facing.
And with the state paying his legal fees, which already amount to approximately R15 million, Zuma is in a position to lodge as many objections and legal issues against proceedings that could see the court battle continue indefinitely.
