In this video by ‘Loving Life’ wee see a report on the Durban beach in KwaZulu Natal, South Africa on 1 January 2020. A once very popular tourist destination gets overrun by locals as search and rescue teams have to be on standby with the enormous crowds that descended onto the beach and into the see to celebrate New years day.
The footage is taken from the sea by one of the rescue standby vessels.
