In this video by Renaldo Gouws, he discusses the right to protest versus breaking the law and impeding other citizens rights and breaking of the law. This on the back of the recent occupation of Clifton beach, Cape Town, South Africa. A private security company had, a few days earlier, cleared the beach of all beachgoers. It was not racial as everyone irrespective of race was removed. There action was not mandated by any of the authorities. However certain people did make it a racial matter saying that only black people were removed and it is now a political issue. A sheep was slaughtered and sacrificed by a group of blacks on this popular beach in a public space.

The slaughter was not acceptable and against a number of laws. This behaviour portrays South Africa in a very poor light. BLF of course were in people’s faces being very aggressive and wanting to invoke an incident so that they can, as they always do, claim being the victim.
