In this video by ‘Loving Life’ we see the lengths that the SAPS went to, to arrest a white kite surfer in Langebaan, flies in the face of what happens in the townships and the manner in which ANC cadres are treated. The minister of mines and energy had an uninterrupted wedding for his son whilst clearly breaking the lockdown regulations and yet no action was taken. But a full blown operation was launched to the arrest this white surfer.
This while unprecedented violent crime is sweeping across the country and the police complain that they don’t have enough resources. Clearly there are double standards being applied in policing in South Africa.
