This video by Renaldo Gouws gives both a possible positive and negative outlook for South Africa under the new President. It highlights the major looming issues. Some of the comments on the video raise interesting perspectives:
“I don’t like Ramaphosa’s promise about taking land without compensation. He is likely to do so and that can cause situation like in Zimbabwe. In this aspect he can be even worse than Zuma. I am also disturbed when he said about supporting black people. It is discrimination against other races”.
And “It is really a sad day and age when someone wears a shirt with the face of a communist terrorist who killed woman and children. A man who maintained close ties with a Cuban dictator, Libyan dictator and Palestinian terrorist. As for Ramaposa, it doesn’t matter who is/will be the president of the ANC/South-Africa, nothing will change. In fact,things will get worse and worse. The damage caused in South Africa by these useless incompetent people has reached a point of no return. Racial hatred is worse than what is was during Apartheid. Democracy is not a word/term understood or practiced on the African continent.
And “What is the real difference between the ANC, EFF & DA. All of them is shouting for land grabs now. Realy!! No matter for who you vote, you are still being reminded of how many 100 years ago land was stolen. If the land was stolen, why am I paying a bond. So the banks is selling stolen land. Come on! Who is going to pay the property taxes? The squatters, the struggling new farmer that always run at a lost? I don’t think so!
