In this video, in parliament Ramaphosa cleary declares that the government will not allow land grabs or land invasions. And clearly states that all south Africans will be protected. However nothing is being done with that exact scenario that is currently playing out in parts of Gauteng. Is this just political’ mumbo jumbo’ and can the president be taken seriously on this and any other matter if there is not decisive intervention.
Land grabs constitute a criminal offence and are as such illegal. So what is being done about it? To date not very much. The Gauteng premier is saying the land owners must get court interdicts and the police and law enforcement agencies are just doing nothing. So who is to be believed?
