In this video by ‘Loving Life’ we see that the economic damage to South Africa from the current cigarette ban, which is thought to include the loss of billions of rand in excise tax, will be partly mitigated by economic activity from the growing illegal cigarette trade claims Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma.
The video look at a summary of the current court battle to have the ban lifted. Logic just seems to be missing as Dlamini-Zuma continues to drive the ban of cigarettes under the guise of COVID-19. Of course there is no social distancing being applied in the townships and on taxis. The lockdown is just an excuse for the ANC’s own agenda.
