In this video by Forum TV we see Ernst Roets discusses the expropriation issue that was published on published on 5 July, 2018. Ernst give details of the ANC manipulation and planned ANC agenda for the public hearings are discussed. Potentially the single biggest change, not only of the South African Constitution, but of the political order and the decision to review section 25 of the constitution, the property rights clause. For this to be done, a consultative process must be followed to obtain the input from the public at large about this issue. However it seems to be inundated with procedural irregularities which leads a reasonable person to conclude that the process is being manipulated in such a way as to ensure that the outcome of the process would be what the ANC has been saying all along.
This even though the evidence suggests that the vast majority of people in South Africa do not believe that expropriation without expropriation would improve their lives. Ramaphosa in any event has decided and said that the expropriation will go forward irrespective of what the South African public think.
