This after the SAPS is attempting to amend the firearms control act to take your right to self defence away. With 57 murders and over 110 rapes every day in South Africa one would think that the SAPS would rather want citizens to be in a position to defend themselves, keeping in mind of course that the SA police are in any event unable to protect the people of the country.
Crime statistics are through the roof and it is becoming more important that a person can defend themselves and their families. The problem in South Africa is clearly with those criminals who have illegal firearms and not those who have legally gone through the process to own a firearm.
