In this video by Renaldo Gouws he looks at Cyril Ramaphosa’s announcement on 31 July 2018 at 22:00 that land expropriation without compensation will be taking place. And states that the public hearings on this matter, which are still underway, have all just been a farce. And a waste of time and waste of money it has been if the entire process is of no consequence. All the focus on land but the dwindling economy, insane crime levels, poor education, dysfunctional health infrastructure, failing government and rampant corruption which are the real issues in South Africa are not even being addressed. It’s all just about votes in the general election in 2019 and the ANC drive at the expense of all South Africans.
The election tool of expropriation is just that a tool for votes. One would think that Ramaphosa who is a successful billionaire businessman would in fact have some insight and ability with regard the crashing economy. Unemployment has been rising at an alarming rate, load shedding, increase in petrol prices, Vat increases and violence and destruction around service levels to name a few should actually be the priority.
