In this video from AfriForum we see Ernst Roets from AfriForum, a civil rights organisation in South Africa, discussing the land expropriation without compensation issue. The proposal by government boils down to theft, whilst AfriForum acknowledges that there are other ways of dealing with land reform, the blatant theft of property is simply not going to work. The greater majority of white landowners own the property legitimately as it was never stolen, however where people were disposed of property AfriForum agrees that this should be addressed based on a proper historical investigation into that specific piece of land.
White people however were also not allowed to own land in certain areas and were also disposed of their land. The discussion covers the similarity with the situation in Zimbabwe, Venezuela and other countries where expropriation has failed dismally.
