Police killed a suspect in a shootout near Soweto after a robbery at a Dion Wired store in the Cresta Shopping Centre in Randburg.
The shooting occurred on Tuesday afternoon.
A second suspect was arrested by police while another is still on the run.
One firearm was recovered from the vehicle and will be sent for ballistic testing to see if it is linked to previous crimes.
