Since Thursday night 8th May 2019 the Graafwater/Lamberts Bay Eskom farm electricity supply line was successfully sabotaged on various occasions by syndicated copper cable thieves.
Financial damage to South Africa as well as farming operations depending on Eskom for sustainable business has become unbearable .
We are right now again without electricity waiting for some form of magic from Eskom to restore power. We are also dealing with a severe security risk because of the situation.
All of us on farms in this area are unnecessarily exposed to criminals who are targeting the most vulnerable and least protected pray.
