Woman killed in pedestrian accident Fourways

A woman, believed to be in her 30s, was killed this afternoon when she was hit by a light motor vehicle at the Main and Peter Place intersection in Fourways.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene to find two vehicles on the side of the road while the body of the woman was found in the middle of the road.

Paramedics assessed the woman and found that she had sustained numerous injuries to her head, chest and legs, leaving her in a critical condition.

The woman was treated for her injuries and rapidly transported to Mediclinic Sandton for urgent treatment.

Unfortunately, the woman succumbed to her injuries on arrival.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
