A woman sustained moderate injuries when her vehicle crashed down an embankment along Christiaan de Wet in Roodepoort yesterday evening.
Shortly after 8pm, paramedics from ER24 arrived on the scene where they found the vehicle down the embankment. The woman, a single occupant of the vehicle, was found with moderate injuries inside her vehicle. ER24’s Rescue Team used ropes to access her and hoist her to safety where she could be further assessed.
She was treated on the scene and later transported to Helen Joseph Hospital for further care.
Earlier this evening, paramedics attended to an incident in the same vicinity where a vehicle also crashed down the embankment at Christiaan de Wet. Two people were found near the vehicle at the bottom of the embankment. Fortunately, both escaped with only minor injuries and declined to be transported to hospital. This incident occurred shortly after 5pm.
Local authorities attended the scene.
