A vehicle was extensively damaged after it caught alight in Belvedere – KZN.
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were dispatched to the corner of Chelmsford Crescent and Belvedere Drive after receiving reports of the incident.
On arrival, Reaction Officers discovered a blue Renault Kangoo engulfed in flames. The Ethekwini Fire Department arrived shortly thereafter and extinguished the blaze.
According to the driver, he was test driving the vehicle after conducting repairs on it. He noticed smoke emanating from the engine compartment and stopped to investigate. The car thereafter burst into flames.
No injuries were reported.
