Unrestrained two-year-old boy ejected during a collision in Ottawa

A two-year-old boy was ejected from a vehicle during motor vehicle collision at the R102 and Tottenham Road intersection in Ottawa – KZN

Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) received multiple calls from passing motors requesting assistance. Reaction Officers were immediately dispatched and arrived on scene.

It was established that the child was travelling in a white VW Golf with his father when Hyundai H100 collided into the side of their vehicle at the intersection.

The unrestrained minor was ejected from the car through the windscreen. He sustained facial injuries. Three occupants from the bakkie suffered minor injuries.

The injured were stabilised by Paramedics from a private ambulance service before being transported to a medical
facility.
