Unlicensed Driver Blamed For road crash on the R102 in Verulam

Members of Reaction Unit South Africa were dispatched to the R102 at the Canelands intersection after receiving reports of a motor vehicle collision.

Upon arrival a VW Golf and a Toyota Quantum taxi were found to be involved in the accident. Both vehicles consisted of only the drivers and neither of them were injured. The driver of the VW Golf was unlicensed and was charged accordingly by Police. Both vehicles were extensively damaged.

It is alleged that the VW Golf was turning into Vincent Dickinson Road from the R102 when the taxi which was travelling from Verulam to Tongaat collided into it.
