Your safety remains our top priority and we request you to partner with us and adhere to utilising your tag/s correctly.
When registering a SANRAL account your tag is linked to your specific vehicle licence plate number. Swapping tags between vehicles is not allowed. Stolen vehicles/tags need to be reported as soon as possible to Customer Services (please see the contact details below).
The outcomes of utilising a tag that is not linked to your vehicle are as follows:
• Traffic congestion and road safety hazard:
o Utilising a tag linked to another vehicle may result in your tag being declined as a payment method at the toll plaza, causing the boom not to open for you. This would result in yourself and/or other motorists having to reverse in tag-only lanes, causing a safety hazard and hampering the traffic flow.
• Financial risk to the rightful owner of the tag:
o Incorrect fees charged.
o Loss of discounts.
