This afternoon Kwazulu Private Ambulance Service responded to the N3 near Chatterton for reports of a collision.
When emergency services arrived they found that 2 trucks had been involved in a collision.
Paramedics quickly assessed the scene and found that 2 patients had sustained serious injuries and were entrapped in a truck.
Together with rescue services, the patients were extricated using specialized heavy-duty rescue equipment.
The patients were treated on scene before being transported to the hospital for further treatment.
