Ten people were left injured this afternoon following a collision between two taxis on the R28 between Westonaria and Poortjie, west of Johannesburg.
ER24 paramedics, along with other services, arrived on the scene to find the two taxis in the left-hand lane of the road. The passengers had already climbed out of the vehicles and were now walking around on the scene.
Paramedics assessed the patients and found that ten people had sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate. Fortunately, no serious injuries or fatalities were found on the scene.
The patients were treated for their injuries and were thereafter transported to various hospitals in the area for further treatment.
The exact cause of the collision is not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
