Two separate taxi accidents leave 28 injured.

28 People were left injured this afternoon following two separate taxi accident in the Pietermaritzburg area.

The first incident attended to by paramedics occurred on the R33 in Raisthorpe. On arrival, paramedics found a taxi on its roof on the side of the road. The occupants had already been removed from the vehicle by members of the community.
On assessment, paramedics discovered that sixteen people had sustained minor to moderate injuries. Fortunately, no serious injuries or fatalities were found.
The patients were treated for their injuries and thereafter transported to nearby hospitals for further treatment.

The second incident occurred on the N3 Highway near the market turnoff. On closer inspection, paramedics found a taxi in the centre median. Several people were found scattered around the vehicle.
Paramedics assessed the patients and found that twelve people had sustained minor to moderate injuries. Fortunately, no serious injuries or fatalities were found.
The patients were treated for their injuries and thereafter transported to nearby hospitals for further treatment.

The details surrounding these incidents are not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
