Two separate collisions leave sixteen injured on the M13 before the Dawncliff turnoff in Cowies Hill, KwaZulu Natal

Sixteen people were left injured this morning following two separate collisions on the M13 before the Dawncliff turnoff in Cowies Hill, KwaZulu Natal.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the first scene to find that a light motor vehicle had rolled, coming to a stop upright in the middle of the road. Three people were found walking around on the scene.

The patients were assessed and found to have sustained minor to moderate injuries.

While attending to the first scene, a second collision occurred a short distance down the road. It was found that one taxi had rear-ended another. Assessments showed that thirteen people had sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate. Fortunately, on both scenes, no serious injuries or fatalities were found.

Paramedics treated the patients and thereafter transported them to various provincial hospitals for further treatment.

The local authorities were on both the scenes for further investigations.
