Two people were killed and three others seriously injured in a single-vehicle collision on the N2 in Durban

Just after 4:30pm on Sunday afternoon ALS Paramedics responded to a serious crash on the N2 South Bound after the M7 Edwin Swales, South of Durban.

Paramedics arrived on the scene to find that a single vehicle had somehow lost control before overturning coming to rest on its roof in the emergency lane of the national highway.

Paramedics found that there were five occupants in the vehicle including two teenagers.

Immediately more resources were dispatched to assist. Unfortunately two males believed to be approximately 35 years of age were found to have major injuries as a result of the crash.

Both men were declared deceased on the scene.

Three other occupants had sustained moderate injuries and they were stabilized on the scene before being transported to a nearby hospital for the further care that they required.

At this stage the events leading up to the collision are unknown however SAPS and Metro Police were on the scene and will be investigating further….
