Two injured, one critically, in single-vehicle collision in Carletonville

A 31-year-old male has been critically injured and a female believed to be in her late 20s has suffered moderate injuries after their vehicle collided with a tree and fence on Onyx Drive in Carletonville last night.

ER24 paramedics were on the scene at 18:48 last night along with the Fire Department, SAPS and GPG. The male driver was found entrapped in the light-motor-vehicle and in a critical condition. The Fire Department used the Jaws Of Life to extract him before he was treated and transported to Carletonville Hospital for further care. The female passenger was found outside the vehicle, having self-extricated – she had been moderately injured in the incident. The patient was treated and transported by GPG to Carletonville Hospital as well.

The South African Police Services were on the scene, as previously stated, for further investigations….
