Yesterday evening, Kwazulu Private Ambulance Service responded to the R69 Sikame crossing for reports of a collision.
When emergency services arrived they found that a car and truck had been involved in a collision.
Paramedics quickly assessed the scene and found that a critically injured patient, and a seriously injured patient were trapped in the car. A further 5 patients had sustained injuries ranging from minor to serious.
Together with a Rescue Technician, Paramedics stabilized the 2 trapped patients and extricated them from the car.
The patients were treated on scene before being transported to the hospital for further treatment.
