Tragedy on Father's Day leaves two dead and multiple injured Cliffdale area West of Durban

ALS Paramedics responded to a serious head-on collision in Cliffdale.

Paramedics arrived on the scene to find carnage as they found that two vehicles collided head-on leaving multiple injured and multiple entrapped.

Immediately more Ambulances as well as Advanced Life Support Paramedics were dispatched to assist at the scene. A triage was done and it was established that the one vehicle had three occupants in it.

The front occupants both males believed to be in their thirties and forties were found severely entrapped in the wreckage.

Both men were assessed by Paramedics however both had sustained fatal injuries and there was nothing more Paramedics could do for them and they were declared deceased at the scene.

The Ethekweni Fire Department and Netcare911 Rescue unit used the Jaws of Life and other hydraulic equipment to cut the men free.

A four-year-old seated in the rear of the vehicle had sustained critical injuries and Advanced Life Support Paramedics worked to stabilize…
