3 people sustained serious injuries following a single vehicle crash along Umhlanga Rock Drive in the vicinity of Ashley Crescent during the early hours of Sunday morning.
Emergency services from KZN VIP Medical and Rescue responded to the scene after receiving reports of the collision. Upon arrival, paramedics were met with a light motor vehicle that had sustained extensive damage, with three occupants suffering serious injuries.
One patient was found partially entrapped within the wreckage. KZN VIP medics immediately initiated advanced life support treatment while working to safely extricate the patient from the vehicle.
All three patients were stabilised on scene before being transported to nearby medical facilities for further medical assessment and treatment. One patient remains in a critical condition.
