When ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene just before 09H00, they found the provincial EMS already in attendance. Upon further assessment, they found the driver of the taxi entrapped. The fire brigade, alongside ER24, extricated the driver using the jaws of life. The driver sustained moderate injuries.
Ten others sustained minor injuries and two others sustained moderate injuries.
ER24, as well as various other medical services on the scene, transported the patients to hospital for further medical care.
