Taxi rollover leaves sixteen injured in Sandton

Sixteen people were left injured this morning following a taxi rollover on William Nicol Drive near the Ballyclare intersection in Sandton.

ER24 paramedics, along with several other services, arrived on the scene at 06h16 to find the taxi lying on its roof down a small embankment. The occupants had already climbed out and were now seated around the vehicle.

Medics assessed the patients and found that sixteen people had been injured. Four patients required advanced life support interventions.

Medics treated the patients and provided the four people with advanced life support interventions.

Once treated, the patients were transported to nearby hospitals for further care.
