Seventeen people were left injured this morning when the taxi they were travelling in overturned on the N3 north-bound highway near the Malboro offramp.
ER24 paramedics, along with other services, arrived on the scene to find the taxi on its roof blocking two lanes of the highway. Several people were found walking around on the scene.
Medics assessed the patients and found that one was in a critical condition while sixteen others had sustained minor to moderate injuries.
Medics treated the patients and provided the critically injured patient with advanced life support interventions before they were transported by various services to nearby hospitals for further care.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
