One man was killed and at least twenty others injured this morning when their taxi rolled on the R24 between Rustenburg and Magaliesburg.
ER24 and other services arrived at 09h19 to find a wrecked taxi lying on its side in the middle of the road. Several passengers from the vehicle were seen walking around.
Local authorities began to close off the road while medics tended to the patients.
On assessment, medics found that one man had already succumbed to multiple injuries while at least twenty others had sustained minor to serious injuries.
The patients were treated, and the seriously injured were provided with pain-relief medication before being transported to Rustenburg hospitals for further care.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations….
