Four people were left injured this morning, one of them critically, when a taxi overturned on the N4 near the Watermeyer turnoff in Pretoria.
ER24 paramedics, along with another service, arrived on the scene to find the taxi lying on its side in the emergency lane, facing oncoming traffic. The occupants had already climbed out and were found seated behind the vehicle.
Paramedics assessed the patients and found that a young girl had sustained critical injuries while three other people had sustained minor to moderate injuries.
The patients were treated for their injuries, and the critically injured girl provided with advanced life support interventions before they were transported to nearby hospitals for further treatment.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations
