Taxi crashes into tree leaving eight injured in Johannesburg

Eight people were left injured this morning when the taxi they were travelling in crashed into a tree on Hendrik Potgieter Road in Florida, west of Johannesburg.
ER24 paramedics, along with another service, arrived on the scene at 08h05 to find the taxi against the tree. The passengers had already climbed out of the vehicle and were found walking around on the scene.
Paramedics assessed the patients and found that eight people had sustained minor to moderate injuries. Fortunately, no serious injuries or fatalities were found on the scene.
The patients were treated for their injuries and were thereafter transported to nearby hospitals for further treatment.
The details surrounding this incident are not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
