Nineteen people were left injured this evening when a taxi crashed into a concrete pillar on the Dinkleman Highway in Kwadabeka, KwaZulu Natal.
ER24 paramedics, along with other services, arrived on the scene at approximately 19h20 to find a taxi smashed against a concrete pillar. The passengers had already climbed out of the taxi and were found walking around on the scene.
Paramedics assessed the patients and found that 19 people had sustained injuries ranging from minor to serious.
Paramedics treated the patients and provided the seriously injured with pain-relief medication. Once treated, the patients were transported to nearby hospitals for further treatment.
The details surrounding this incident are not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
