Taxi and truck collide leaving twelve injured on the Meadows Road in Bloemfontein

Twelve people were injured this evening, two of them seriously, when a taxi crashed head-on with a truck on the Meadows Road in Bloemfontein.
ER24 paramedics, along with other services, arrived on the scene at 18h55 to find the taxi and truck in the middle of the road. The passengers had already climbed out of the taxi and were found either seated or walking around on the scene.
Paramedics assessed the patients and found that two patients, a man and a woman, had sustained moderate injuries, while the ten others had sustained minor injuries. Fortunately, no serious injuries or fatalities were found on the scene.
Paramedics treated the patients and thereafter transported them to Pelonomi Provincial Hospital for further treatment.
The driver of the truck fortunately escaped injury.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
