Taxi and motorbike collide leaving one dead on White Road in Grange, on the outskirts of Pietermaritzburg.

A man, believed to be in his 30s was killed and eight others injured this morning following a collision between a taxi and modified motorbike on White Road in Grange, on the outskirts of Pietermaritzburg.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene shortly after 08h00 to find the taxi on the side of the road while the motorbike was found some distance away on the right-hand side of the road. 
Upon closer inspection, paramedics discovered the body of a man in his 30s, believed to be the driver of the motorbike, lying behind the taxi. Unfortunately, the man had already succumbed to his injuries. Nothing could be done for him and he was declared dead.
Eight other patients, all passengers from the taxi, were assessed and found to have sustained minor injuries. 
Paramedics treated the patients and thereafter transported them to a nearby Provincial Hospital for further treatment,
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
