Taxi and car collide leaving two dead, thirteen injured in Klapmuts

Two people were killed and thirteen others injured this morning following a collision between a taxi and a light motor vehicle on the R101 in Klapmuts in the Western Cape.
ER24 Paramedics, along with the Metro Fire and EMS Services, arrived on the scene at 07h30 to find the taxi on its side on the side of the road. Several people had been ejected from the vehicle and were found scattered around the scene.
Paramedics assessed the patients and found that a man and woman had both sustained numerous injuries and showed no signs of life. Unfortunately, nothing could be done for them and they were declared dead on the scene.
Thirteen other patients were found on the scene. Assessments showed that the injuries ranged from minor to serious.
The patients were treated for their injuries and they were transported to nearby provincial hospitals for further care.
The details surrounding this incident are not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
