Taxi and car collide leaving 16 injured on the N2 Highway in Amanzimtoti,KZN

16 people were left injured this afternoon following a collision between a light motor vehicle and a taxi on the N2 Highway in Amanzimtoti, KwaZulu Natal.

ER24 paramedics, along with VEMA and other services, arrived on the scene to find the taxi and light motor vehicle in the middle of the road. The occupants of both vehicles were found walking around on the scene.

Paramedics assessed the patients and found that 16 had sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate.

The patients were treated for their injuries and were thereafter transported by various services to nearby hospitals.

The cause of the collision is not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
