Taxi and bakkie collide leaving five injured in Vanderbijlpark

Five men were left injured this morning when a taxi crashed into the side of a security bakkie at the R57 and Currie Road intersection in Vanderbijlpark.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 07h20 to find both vehicles in the middle. Several people were found walking around on the scene.

Medics assessed the patients and found that five male security officers had sustained minor to moderate injuries. Fortunately, no-one from the taxi sustained any injuries.

The men were treated for their injuries and were thereafter transported to Mediclinic Emfuleni Hospital for further care.

The local authorities were on the scene for further investigations….
