Three male suspects wanted for murder were arrested by the Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD) IIOC Undercover Reaction Unit in Riverlea and South Hills, Johannesburg.
On Tuesday, 30 May 2023, officers received information of suspects who were allegedly involved in a shooting incident that occurred on Friday, 26 May 2023, in Riverlea where two people lost their lives and one is still critical in hospital.
The suspects are allegedly well known for terrorizing the community and two of them were wanted for multiple murders.
The officers proceeded to the given address where the suspects were last spotted. Upon their arrival at the location, the officers immediately identified and apprehended two male suspects.
The suspects were searched and they were found in possession of an unlicensed firearm, ammunition and 20 mandrax tablets. The duo was arrested as per the Langlaagte SAPS case.
