In the early hours of this morning, IPSS Medical Rescue responded to an accident involving a single vehicle on the M4 in Westbrook.
On arrival, it was found that the light motor vehicle with four occupants had left the road, hitting a tree before rolling.
Sadly a 13-year-old sustained fatal injuries, and was declared on the scene. The remaining occupants were lucky to escape with minor injuries, with only one requiring transport to a local facility for further care.
SAPS was on the scene and will investigate the accident further.
