Midlands EMS Howick crews, along with Midlands EMS Advanced Life Support paramedics, were dispatched to the R617 Merrivale intersection for a motor vehicle accident.
Upon arrival, it was found that a vehicle had left the roadway and rolled, landing on its roof down an embankment.
Paramedics made their way down to the scene with specialized rescue equipment.
All four occupants were found to be entrapped. Paramedics, along with rescue workers, began to cut the vehicle to gain access and assess the extent of the injuries.
Tragically, all four individuals sustained fatal injuries and were declared deceased on the scene.
Authorities were in attendance.
