A man believed to be in his late 20s has died and a 31-year-old man has suffered critical injuries following a shooting incident on the corners of Potsdam and Usasaza streets in Danoon this afternoon.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 16:15 – the South African Police Services had already cordoned off the area. A man was found lying lifeless in the street, having suffered multiple gunshot wounds. Unfortunately, nothing could be done for him and he was declared dead on arrival.
A second man presented himself to the crews – he was found to have suffered two gunshot wounds to the shoulder area and was in a critical condition. He was treated using Advanced Life Support interventions to stabilise his condition before being transported to the hospital for further care.
The details surrounding this case are unknown to ER24….
