The Medi Response Operations Control Center was alerted to a shooting incident in the Glenhazel area of Johannesburg.
On arrival of Advanced Life Support paramedics and medics, it was ascertained that one individual had been shot.
The patient was stabilised on the scene and transported under police guard to a local hospital for further care.
